Modern Mission

An urban retreat — this stunning home is situated on a quiet street located in the Mission Dolores neighborhood. Its warm contemporary styling is the result of a vision reaching far beyond the non-descript façade of the pre-renovation building.

Our goal — maintain the pattern with other three story buildings on the street, yet create a standout façade to match the attitude of today’s city.

Design Highlights

  • Interior architectural design is punctuated by a refined stair railing of natural steel and walnut, setting a “hip” aesthetic styling for the overall material palette.
  • Main living level (second floor) features a modern open layout essential for easy family living and a gracious flow for entertaining.
  • Luxe master suite has two walk-in closets, a spacious split vanity bathroom and walk-out deck detailed with a glass and metal guard railing.
  • Garden oasis with a pattern of concrete pads outlined with black river rocks and soft easy plantings is accessed through a sliding French door/window wall.

Footprint

  • Renovate existing 2 story home into a 3 story, 5 bedroom, 4 bath single family home; approx. 3,026 sq. ft. living area with additional 450 sq. ft. for a finished two car garage space
  • Structural upgrades to expand the building with horizontal and vertical additions, approx. 2,000 sq.ft. of new living space
